PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Diane Tiffany of Plymouth has earned PSU's 2009 Distinguished Operating Staff Award. Tiffany, a 12-year employee at PSU's Office of Advancement, was one of 20 OS employees nominated for the award. PSU President Sara Jayne Steen said Tiffany's record of volunteerism and professionalism at her job make her a great choice for the award.

"On campus, she's an extraordinary leader," Steen said. "People wrote truly wonderful things about Diane. "She brings town and campus together in innovative ways that benefit both."
Tiffany currently serves as treasurer on the board of directors for "Keeping You, Me & Memories Alive," and has been involved in planning "The Walk to Fight Cancer." That event raised tens of thousands of dollars to assist local victims of cancer and their families.
Tiffany said she was shocked that she was chosen for the award.
"I am really surprised," said Tiffany. "Thank you very much, I am so pleased to be part of this PSU family, I am truly honored to have received this award... I just can't thank you enough."
She has also helped organize the local March of Dimes "WalkAmerica" fundraiser since 2002 and is also a member of the OS Fundraising/Scholarship committee and the PSU Professional Development committee. In addition, Tiffany earned Northway Bank's "Community Counts" award in 2005 and the Campus Compact for New Hampshire's "President's Good Steward" award in 2007.
Tiffany is a 1976 graduate of Plymouth State and is a native of Concord. She is married to Richard Tiffany, who is also a PSU employee.
